ME/”CFS” Guidelines for Doctors.
Have you ever felt that your general practitioner was struggling to know what you meant when you said you had chronic fatigue syndrome?
Well, from now on every GP in South Australia should have on their shelves a copy of a new set of guidelines on how to diagnose and treat ME/CFS. It’s a document which you can use to discuss your condition with them.
Download it, read it, and use it when next you see your family doctor:

The Guidelines are also available in German, translation courtesy of Regina Clos:

I would recommend printing out a copy to gift to your GP for some exciting bedtime reading. If they all read this, at least some education is better than virtually none, especially in the case of M.E. which isn’t even the same illness…but, hey, we’ll get there if we all pull together on this one! Good luck… ![]()
